Curator's Note

From an aerial vantage above Chicago, Diane’s camera looks across a skyline already far below. Yet one structure continues to rise—its glass façade catching the quiet colors of sunrise before extending beyond the boundaries of the frame.

The composition transforms the tower from architecture into a gesture of ascent. Surrounded by buildings diminished by elevation, it appears almost limitless, climbing through layers of blue, lavender, and gold toward an unseen height. In Beyond Measure, the city is viewed from above, yet one structure continues upward—uncontained, unfinished, and reaching beyond what the eye can see.
