Day does not disappear all at once.

For a few fleeting moments, the Oregon coast holds the last of the light, lavender and rose suspended above the sea as the dunes settle into shadow. Nothing announces the change. The horizon simply softens, and what remains is a quiet passage between what was and what is about to begin.

Fleeting Light is a reminder that beauty often reveals itself most fully just before it is gone.
