Curator's Note

Morning had only begun to touch the Sonoma valley when a solitary balloon rose into its glow. Below, the landscape held its familiar patterns; above, morning opened without limit. For a few suspended moments, it seemed not to climb through the sky, but to be carried by the light itself—a weightless passage between earth and sky.
